Jena Lee Photographs began in 2017 after I completed my Professional Photography Diploma in Vancouver, but knew I wanted to move back to Golden. I knew that living here meant that I would have to start my own business, and jumped in head first!
Thankfully I have found that I enjoy business and marketing as much as I do photography.

I have been a KHCCC member for a few years and joined originally for the group membership benefits.
3️⃣ 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙙𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙧𝙪𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖 𝙗𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮?
Golden is an incredible community that is dedicated to supporting its local business, I appreciate my local clients so much.
One of my favourite things is that I get the opportunity to photograph repeat clients year after year and watch their families grow up.
4️⃣ 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙗𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨?
Honestly I look forward to seeing how every year goes! Having a business has taught me a lot about myself. Each year myself and my business grow in beautiful ways that I couldn't have imagined. As you accomplish your goals, new ones always come up so you are constantly working toward something and I really enjoy that.
5️⃣ 𝘼𝙣𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙚𝙡𝙨𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪'𝙙 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙛𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙩!
Families usually wonder how far in advance they should book? For maternity and newborn photography I recommend to book during the second trimester, and for family photography the sooner to better (especially if you are thinking about summer or fall photos).
