helping business thrive in golden bc

Non-Profit & Government

Kicking Horse Country is represented by two governments; in the center of Area A is the Town of Golden with a population of approximately 4000 people. The Area A which includes all areas outside the town limits has a population of an additional 4000 and is governed by the Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD). Visit the KHCCC link page for detailed information on the government representations of Kicking Horse Country.

The residents of the community are as diverse as its industry, with people coming from many different backgrounds and interests. There are non-profit groups who manage many of the tourism activities such as the Golden Cyling Club, the Golden Nordic Ski Club and the Golden Snowmobile Trail Society. There are also many groups who watch over our youngest and most senior residents.
