Here is our round-up for this week's Find-out Friday!

1. Indigenous Forestry Scholarship Program: provides support for First Nations, Inuit, or Métis Descent students interested in attending full-time studies in a designated post-secondary institution. The program provides (i) Tuition and living scholarship, (ii) Paid summer work-term experience and mentorship, (iii) Support from Indigenous Skills and Employment Training Program

2. BC Youth in Manufacturing Grant: British Columbia’s manufacturing employers participating in the program will receive up to $3,500 per placement to offset onboarding, on-the-job training and wage costs for participants aged 16-21 (if not in high school, not enrolled in post-secondary education or training) and up to $2,500 for participants in high school.

3. BC Employer Training Grant: provides funding to all businesses to support skills training for their workforces, including prospective new hires. The Employer Training Grant helps employers pay for training, which in turn helps employees experience increased job security or move into better jobs. Employers can apply as often as they need and receive 80 per cent of the cost of training up to $10,000 per employee, with a maximum annual amount per employer of $300,000.
